Outbox was initially set up to offer professional administration services to small businesses, individuals and groups both virtually and in-person. We now get a lot of demand for our Virtual Assistant (VA) services from the SME market where paying for assistance only when you need it is ideal. Using a VA works well for businesses that either have irregular fluctuations in workload, or that don’t want the hassle of hiring employees or managing contractors. Having been around since 2006, we’ve experienced first-hand many of the changes in software, technology and working habits that have influenced how businesses operate. We know the importance of having an online presence, so are able to offer a range of website services. We know that SME owners are now busier than ever trying to take on the functions of an entire org chart themselves, so we tailor our administration services to just what you want to delegate and outsource. And we’re not baffled by all the changes in social media for businesses – in fact, we get quite excited about what you can now do with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn for your business. It has helped us service and stay in touch with international clients remotely, and we’re keen to show other businesses how to do the same.

About Lindsey Carroll, Director of Outbox
Outbox was created by Lindsey Carroll, who has made a living over the past twenty-five years out of helping businesses become more productive. She was with John Lewis Plc in the UK for fifteen years involved in buying, staff training and IT. Lindsey has owned and managed her own successful bridal business in London. In all of her roles prior to setting up Outbox, ranging from secretarial positions to systems analyst to office manager, Lindsey has used a variety of software programmes and continues to regularly upgrade her skills.
Lindsey holds qualifications in Business Studies, Computer Software, Fashion and Real Estate. She is a Certified Advisor of Xero and a member of Venus Clubs New Zealand.

What is a Virtual Assistant?

Virtual Assistants (VA) provide off-site expert administrative support services to clients. They have a vast knowledge of the business environment gained from many years experience in the workplace and their clients can be located locally, nationally or internationally.

They are an ideal solution to individuals and businesses who have a lack of time and those who do not wish to employ staff of their own.

What do they do?

A Virtual Assistant performs a range of tasks generally covering the traditional skills performed by an administrator, secretary, office or marketing manager.  However, they own and run their own business and work at another site from yours.

Each Virtual Assistant offers a slightly different set of skills.  We can create a website for you, deal with your administration and E-mails, design templates and forms, create your Xero invoices, set you up on social media or even order flowers for a friend’s birthday! How do you benefit?

There are many advantages for hiring Outbox as your Virtual Assistant.  Here are a few:

How often do I have to hire my VA?

You can hire a Virtual Assistant as often or as infrequently as you like. It can be for sending just one E-mail or you may require office support on a regular basis and prefer to have a monthly contract where you stipulate your required hours.

Outbox is based in Greenhithe, Auckland. For those further afield, a virtual assistant keeps in contact with their client via the internet, telephone, post, E-mail, text or Skype.
